Lumière
Pavé in eighteen-karat gold — the metal dissolved into a continuous surface of light.
The Story
Lumière is the maison's most demanding work. Each piece is paved with diamonds, set so densely that the metal beneath disappears — leaving only a continuous surface of fire and water.
The technique is uncompromising. Stones are hand-graded for white and clarity, then placed in fields of micro-set brilliants — sometimes a thousand to a single ring. The setter works under high magnification, raising each bead of gold by hand. A bracelet can take eighty hours at the bench.
The effect is not ostentation but illumination. Worn in candlelight, the pieces seem to glow from within. Worn in daylight, they read as light made wearable — the closest the maison comes to capturing, in a fixed object, the quality of a sunlit afternoon.
